Getting Started - SRM SQL Agent

Prerequisites

• Ensure that the CommServe and SRM Server have been installed in the CommCell before installing this Agent.
• Review the following before installing this Agent:
  • Review Overview - SRM SQL Agent.
  • Review System Requirements - SRM SQL Agent.

Quick Start

The following diagram illustrates the sequence of operations for getting started with this Agent.

Where to go From Here

1. Get familiar with CommCell Console. The CommCell Console is the graphical user interface that allows you to control and manage a CommCell. See CommCell Console for more information.
2. Activate the license. If the Agent was installed using an evaluation license, make sure to activate the license. See Update Licenses for step-by-step instructions.
3. Fine-tune this Agent using the following key features:

Scheduling Schedule the Data Collection and Report generation operations. Scheduling helps to ensure that these tasks are automatically performed on a regular basis. Advisories Create the necessary Advisories for this Agent. Advisories are brief text messages describing an actual or potential problem detected by SRM, and the suggested corrective action to rectify the issue.
