Introduction

The SRM Server provides a centralized data repository of information gathered by the SRM Agents, and a set of administrative functions including Job Control, Event Management, and User Management. The SRM Server generates the necessary reports from the data stored in the centralized data repository.

Components of the SRM Server

The important components of the SRM Server include:

• Repository - the database, built on the Enterprise Edition of Microsoft SQL Server; contains SRM configuration information, as well as the data collected by SRM Agents.
• Report Engine - a collection of customizable utilities that analyze data from the repository and generate report output in a web browser.
