Air Distribution

Because of the heat build-up of a computing configuration, an air-conditioning system with a high air flow is generally needed.

Experience shows that the most appropriate solution is to deliver the air via the plenum space of the raised floor. The advantage of this is that it:

In order to avoid having to install a large number of ducts, it is recommended to install the air-conditioning cabinet or cabinets in the computing room or in an adjacent room.

If the room is equipped with a raised floor, the air for the general air conditioning is delivered through perforated slabs and/or slabs equipped with registers, the number and location of which are defined at the same time as the air-conditioning system.

Care should be exercised when installing hardware or furniture in the room: it is essential that such hardware or furniture are not placed on one or more perforated slabs or slabs equipped with a register.
