Overview

If the Silo Retrieve option is selected from the Job Summary Report Selection dialog box, the Silo Retrieve Job Summary Report will be created. The Silo Retrieve Job Summary Report displays details for silo retrieve jobs of backup data that is retrieved from secondary storage back to primary storage. A silo retrieve job occurs in two phases. First, the original restore operation goes to Pending state, and kicks off another restore job to retrieve data from Silo Storage to the primary storage. Once the data is available in the primary storage, the original restore operation resumes to restore the data to the restore location.

Usage

This report is useful if you require:

• A summary of silo retrieve jobs for each client.
• To view all silo retrieve jobs during a specified time period.
• Detailed restore information such as:
  • The client source and destination.
  • The duration of the job.
  • The total objects successful, skipped, or failed to be restored.
  • The data size of the job.
  • The failure reason (if necessary), and associated events.
  • The failed objects (if necessary), and the files that were successfully restored.
  • The options that were selected for the job before the job was run.
  • The status of the job, and the throughput unit.
