The following requirements are for the CommCell Console as a Remote Web-Based Application:

Operating System

The CommCell Console as a Remote Web-Based Application is supported on any operating system running a supported Java-enabled web browser.

Miscellaneous

The CommCell Console supports Internet Protocol versions 4 and 6 (IPv4 and IPv6). See Internet Protocols for more information.

IIS must be installed on the CommServe computer to remotely access the CommCell Console as a Remote Web-Based Application.

If an alternate computer is used as the IIS server, the alternate computer must:

  • be in the same domain as the CommServe.
  • have the CommCell Console installed.

JAVA™ Runtime Environment (JRE) SE v1.6.0_06 recommended.

  • The software can function with JRE version 1.5.0_03 or higher.

    If any of the above versions are not available, the Browser will automatically download the latest version from the appropriate Sun website.

  • Java plug-in is not supported on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64 editions. To run CommCell Console as a Remote Web-Based Application, you need to install 32-bit JRE on 64-bit machines.
  • To run the CommCell Console as a Remote Web-Based Application on a Macintosh computer, JRE version 1.5 is required.
