Start CommNet Server Services
Stop CommNet Server Services
Before You Begin
The CommNet Server Service is started automatically when the software is
installed.

Permitted Actions
To
start CommNet Server Services:
- From the Windows Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and
then double-click Services.
- From the Services window, right-click the CommNet Server
service, and then click Start. The CommNet Server Service is started.
Before You Begin
- The CommNet Server Service is a dependency of the Microsoft SQL Server
Service. If the Microsoft SQL Server Service is stopped, the CommNet Server
Service is stopped as well.
- If the CommNet Server Service is stopped, the CommCells within the
CommNet domain will not be able to send updates to the CommNet Server until the service
is resumed.
- If the CommNet Server Service is terminated unexpectedly, the system will
restart the service.

stop CommNet Server Services:
- From the Windows Control Panel, double-click Administrative Tools, and
then double-click Services.
- From the Services window, right-click the CommNet Server
service, and then click Stop. The CommNet Server Service is stopped.
