Use this dialog box to configure the download/copy software options. Note that all the options described in this help may not be available, and only the options displayed in the dialog box are applicable to the operation for which the information is being displayed.
Download PackagesSelect this option to download software packages.
Select to download software packages for Windows-based operating systems.
Select to download software packages for Unix-based operating systems.
Download Updates
Select this option to download the latest updates.
Copy and Update One Touch Cache
Select this option to copy and update the configured 1-Touch cache directory.
Copy Updates
Select this option to copy updates.
Copy Packages
Select this option to copy software packages.
Select to copy software packages for Windows-based operating systems.
Select to copy software packages for Unix-based operating systems.
Overwrite Newer Content
Select this option to overwrite the installed updates that are newer than the versions that will be downloaded for distribution.
Copy Software From Location
Indicates the location from which the updates/software will be automatically downloaded. This location is configured in the Add/Remove Software Configuration (Download) dialog box. Click Browse to navigate to an alternate FTP site.
Impersonate User
Provide Windows Impersonate User account to access local drive on the CommServe or cache.
Synchronize Remote Software Caches
Select this option to enable the software agents to automatically receive the updates from the CommServe update cache so that they are in sync with the CommServe update cache. If selected, the Remote Software caches will be automatically synchronized with the CommServe update cache when software/updates are downloaded to the CommServe.
Save As Script
Click to open the Save As Script dialog, which allows you to save this operation and the selected options as a script file (in XML format). The script can later be executed from the Command Line Interface using qoperation execute command.
When you save an operation as a script, each option in the dialog will have a corresponding xml parameter in the script file. When executing the script, you can modify the value for any of these XML parameters as per need.
