The CommNet Data Protection Activity Overview displays your CommNet’s or selected cell-client group's data protection activity in chart and tabular format. You have the option to view the data protection activity up to the last 31 days. Use this summary to quickly and easily analyze the data protection activity of your environment. This may help you determine if data protection jobs for a particular agent type have a lower success rate than other agent types, and if a particular client has a lower success rate than the other clients within that given agent type.
Data Size Type
Data size can be displayed in terms of application size or media size.
If selected, data will be presented in terms of application size, which indicates the amount of data protected during backup operations.
If selected, data will be presented in terms of media size, which is the amount of data written to the media; this includes backup, encrypted, compressed, and deduplicated data if applicable.
Data Size Chart
The data size chart displays the data size of all data protection operations, both incremental and full, per agent type within the selected time range in chart format. You can hover over each bar for the exact size of the data protection jobs per agent type.
Job Activity Chart
The job activity chart displays the number of incomplete, complete and killed data protection jobs per agent type within the selected time range. You can hover over each bar for the exact number of data protection jobs per agent type.
Job Activity Detail
The job activity detail table displays the number of data protection jobs that were attempted for each client, grouped by agent type, and their completion, failed, and killed rates. Click any number (except "0") in the table to see a Data Protection Detail Report with a listing of individual data protection operations.
