Manually Updating the CommServe or Domain name on Client/MediaAgent Computers

If you perform an operation to change the Client Name, Host Name or CS Host Name using the CommCell Console and if the operation fails to change the information in the client computer, you must manually edit the following registry key in the client to make the name change effective.

Registry keys Associated with Client/MediaAgent Client Name, Host Name or Domain Name Change

The following registry keys are modified in the client computer.

Registry key name with machine name at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CommVaultSystems\Galaxy\Instance001\Machines" needs to be changed.
