Snapshot Volume Units (SVU)

Overview

An SVU can be thought of as a Subclient content template; it contains a set of specified volumes that define Subclient content in a way that is common across all Agents. Once content is identified and committed, a Subclient containing this content is automatically created under the individual Agent(s), and they are flagged as "Recovery Director" Subclients.

Subclients

Recovery Director may be installed on a Client which already has Agents installed; if Subclients already exist for these Agents, they can continue to be used if so desired, but their content cannot be added to the Subclients created by Recovery Director as a result of defining new Snapshot Volume Units. After Recovery Director is installed, new Subclients for these Agents can only be created through Recovery Director.
