What are the SQL Server Components that can be Associated with a Schedule Policy?

User-defined databases and user-defined subclients can be associated with the policy when you select SQL Server (File/File Group Subclients) as the data protection agent type.

Why Don't I See the Default Subclients for Association when I Select the Database Agent Group as the Data Protection Agent Type?

When you select the Database agent group as the data protection agent type you can associate the user defined subclients to that particular schedule policy.

How do I define Storage Retention Rules for a Job from the One defined Under Storage Policy Retention?

When scheduling a data protection job, you can override the defined storage policy retention rules and apply new rules for this specific job.

This removes the need to redefine the data aging rules for the associated storage policy. The job is manually retained based on the specified advanced job options.

Would the Archive Logs Get Backed up When an Oracle Database Backup is Run from a Schedule Policy?

By default, archive logs are backed up while backing up the Oracle database from the schedule policy as the option is selected in the advance backup options. However the archive logs will not be backed up if the option is de-selected from the subclient properties or if the delete archive log option is not selected in the advanced options of schedule policy.

What Capabilities are required to associate a Schedule Policy to a Client Computer Group?
