The NEO 8000e replaces the legacy NEO 8000 and brings : - embedded interface connectivity with the support of the ADI (Automation Drive Interface ) protocol, which removes the need for VIA cards and for a dedicated connection for the robotic - increased connectivity with the support of SAS, SCSI and fibre channel Interfaces - embedded partitioning at no extra cost (up to 4 partitions) and with no extra hardware - increased reliability with a MCBF (Mean Cycles Between Failure) over 4 000 000 (it was 2 000 000 for the legacy NEO 8000) The NEO 8000E library supports full height LTO-4 (SAS, SCSI, FC) and LTO-5 (SAS and FC) drives. Two NEO 8000E frames can be combined to provide up to 1000 slots with the use of an horizontal robotics assembly. The NEO 8000E is shipped without rear door which can be ordered separately.
