Where to Install the Software

The ProxyHost iDataAgent is installed on the computer which satisfies the minimum requirements specified in System Requirements.

Installation

The software can be installed using one of the following methods:

Method 1: Install Software from the CommCell Console - to install remotely on a client computer.
Method 2:
Install the ProxyHost iDataAgent - Windows - to install directly on Windows client computer.
Install the ProxyHost iDataAgent - Unix - to install directly on Unix client computer.
Install the ProxyHost iDataAgent - Unix - Clustered Environment - to install on client computer in a clustered environment.

Once you install the software you must create a new subclient. This is explained in Create a New Subclient.
