Before You Begin:
- Review the general and agent-specific restore requirements accessed from
Restore Backup Data prior to performing any restore operation.
- To complete this procedure, you need the login and password of an Active
Directory account (e.g., Admin) that should be a member of the Domain Administrator's
group.

To
restore data to an Active Directory Tree:
- From the CommCell Browser, right-click the backup set whose data you want
to restore, click All Tasks and then click Browse Backup Data.
- From the Browse Options
dialog box, select the browse options that you want to use.
- Select any additional browse options from the
Advanced Browse Options
dialog box, then click OK.
- From Backup Data window, use the tree to open the structure of the objects/attributes.
- Select the attributes that you want to restore:
- in the right pane, right-click attribute names to restore specific attributes
- in the left pane, right-click an object to restore all its available
attributes
- Click Recover All Selected.
- When restoring encrypted data, refer to
Data Encryption.
- Select options as appropriate on the
General
and Job
Initiation tabs in the Restore Options dialog box and click OK. A
progress bar displays indicating the start of data restoration.
