The R423 E4j servers, like the other R42x compute nodes, are ultra-dense servers equipped with new-generation Intel® Xeon® processors E5-2600 or E5-1600 v3 familly (Haswell-EP), and are ideally sized to deliver the level of performance needed by power-hungry Extreme Computing applications. They also guarantee an optimal availability rate, thanks to redundancy features and ease of maintenance.

 

Main differences with R423-E4i :

  • Single CPU socket
  • E5-2600 and E5-1600 v3 familly CPU
  • Can be used when R423-E4i is not required (GPFS, Lustre MDF/OSS)

 

The bullx R423 E4j rack server is an ideal service node and was designed with extreme computing in mind.
