Deployment - Quick Recovery Agent


The following sections provide information on Quick Recovery Agent deployment:

Install

Pre-Install System Requirements - Quick Recovery Agent describes the minimum requirements for installing the agent.

For Unix platforms, Ensure Restarting of Services Using crontab in the event services go down during a procedure or job.

Install
Configuration The following configuration tasks are required before you can begin using the Quick Recovery Agent for data protection operations:
  1. Configure a supported Snapshot Environment for this Agent. See Snapshot Environments for more information. For SnapVault, see the Configuration section of ONTAP SnapVault for the Quick Recovery Agent or OSSV SnapVault for the Quick Recovery Agent.
  2. Create a Scratch Volume Pool.
  3. Create a QR Policy.
  4. Create a New Subclient.
  5. Configure Pre/Post Binding Scripts for the Quick Recovery Agent.
