Control Panel

The Control Panel offers several configurable parameters for the entire CommCell. The table below lists each of these parameters and its allowed associations within the CommCell and provides links to the associated information.

A user group given association to the CommCell level will be able to see and perform actions on all Control Panel dialogs, however a user group which does not have associations set to the CommCell level will only see certain dialogs in the Control Panel. This limited view can be useful when the CommCell is used in a multi-tenancy model. For more information on associating user groups within a CommCell, see Capabilities and Permitted Actions.

CommNet Properties	NA	CommCell	Displays the CommNet Agent version and update information as well as the CommNet Server name(s) when the CommNet Agent is installed on the CommServe. Additionally, users can unregister the CommCell from the CommNet Server(s), which will prevent the CommServe from communicating with the CommNet Server(s). 	Advanced		Allows automatic access to the Maintenance Advantage Website using the pre-populated user credentials. For more information, see Maintenance Advantage.
Troubleshooting Settings	NA	CommCell	Allows you to establish the FTP and Email information for sending log files. For more information, see Log Files.
User Preferences	General	All Levels	Allows you to choose the web browser that the software must use to open HTML files, if different from the default browser configured on the computer. An option to displays the floating Restore Progress bar during a restore operation. An option to save table preferences set for the Job Controller and Event Viewer. Another option allows hiding the clients that have been deconfigured. For User Preferences to take effect, the user must log out and log back in to the CommCell Console. 	Job Filter		Provides the ability to set the job retention option. For User Preferences to take effect, the user must log out and log back in to the CommCell Console. For more information see, Job Controller.
	Event Filter		Provides options to customize the display in the Event Viewer. For more information, see Event Viewer. For User Preferences to take effect, the user must log out and log back in to the CommCell Console.
