Install

Install the Driver for the File Archiver for Windows Agent - Clustered Environment - Physical Node provides step-by-step instructions for installing the driver for the File Archiver for Windows Agent on the physical node. You must first install the driver software on all of the physical nodes.

Install the File Archiver for Windows Agent - Clustered Environment - Virtual Server provides step-by-step instructions for installing the agent on the virtual server. After installing the driver software on all of the physical nodes, you must install the agent software on the virtual nodes that you want to archive with this agent.

The File Archiver for Windows Agent and the File Share Archiver Agent has been merged in this release. For detailed information on the impact of this merge, see Merge Impact of File Archiver for Windows/File Share Archiver Agents in Upgrade Overview. The File Archiver client driver and File System Data Migrator agent driver cannot be installed on the same machine for the feature to work properly.

• Archiving Rules are initially disabled by default. You must clear the Disable All Rules option in the Subclient Properties (Archiving Rules) or (Rules) tab and configure the archiving rules before conducting rules-based Archive Operations.
• After installing the File Archiver for Windows Agent and File Share Archiver Client (if applicable) before performing a migration archiving operation of data residing on a NAS file server, you must configure the authentication credentials with administrator privileges to access the file server. For more information, see Configure Filer/Proxy Authentication Credentials.
